KANKAKEE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY READY FOR PUBLIC VIEWING

Kankakee County and the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County seek public comment on Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
 
(Kankakee County, IL)—This document is required to qualify for economic development funding from the United States Department of Economic Development Administration (EDA). The CEDS will be used to guide economic development decisions in the County. This process has been guided by a Strategy Committee comprised of public and private sector representatives from throughout Kankakee County.
 
A thirty (30) day public comment period is required prior to adoption and submittal of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy to the EDA. All written comments will be forwarded to the Strategy Committee for review prior to final submittal.
 
PUBLICATION: The draft “Kankakee County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy 2014-2018” is available to read and download on the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County website at https://kankakeecountyed.org. Hard copies are available for viewing at the Economic Alliance office, 200 East Court St., Suite 507, Kankakee and at the Kankakee County Planning Department office, 189 E. Court Street, Room 201, Kankakee, during business hours.
 
REVIEW DATES: The public comment period for the EDS is Monday, December 16, 2013 through Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
 
COMMENTS: Comments must be received in writing on or before Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. Central Standard Time. Comments may be submitted either by email, mail or hand delivery during the business hours of 8:00 A.M.-5:P.M. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, to:
