The Economic Alliance of Kankakee County is a not-for-profit public/private partnership responsible for coordinating countywide economic development initiatives. The Alliance is seeking an accomplished candidate for the position of President/Chief Executive Officer to oversee implementation of Kankakee County’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), manage the economic development organization and provide technical assistance to local governments.
The position reports to the Alliance Board of Directors.
The requirements for the position are a bachelor’s degree in economic development, business or public administration, marketing, real estate, economics or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred. CEcD preferred. The Alliance Board may also consider any equivalent combination of experience and training.
