“Jump Start Your Small Business” August 5 with ACCELERATE 2015 Small Business Conference & Expo


KANKAKEE, IL – June 30, 2015 – The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Kankakee Community College, Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Alliance of Kankakee County announce the inaugural ACCELERATE Small Business Conference & Expo, to be held Wednesday, August 5 at KCC's Riverfront Campus in Kankakee. The full-day event will feature nationally renowned keynote speakers; breakout sessions on topics ranging from digital marketing to small business record-keeping, customer service to exporting; and vendor exhibits featuring local and regional products and services useful to small business owners.
 
The event will open with a special welcome from Esther Joy King, deputy director of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity's Office of Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology. Providing ACCELERATE's breakfast keynote will be Bourbonnais-based Bill Guertin, CEO of leading sales consultancy The 800-Pound Gorilla. Lunch keynote speaker will be Keith Aichele, CEO of Misaic, a nationally recognized organizational and growth consultancy for small business.
 
"It's been 20 years since KCC has hosted a small business event of this magnitude," noted Ken Crite, KCC's SBDC Coordinator. "With the collaboration our industry, civic, academic and economic development partners, we are thrilled to be able to offer a high-caliber event at an affordable price.

Registration deadline for ACCELERATE 2015 is Wednesday, July 29.
