About Us

The Economic Alliance of Kankakee County is a 501c6 public/private partnership tasked with retaining industry within and recruiting industry to the Greater Chicago community of Kankakee County, Illinois. Fortune 500/Global 500 corporations and startups alike are attracted by our area's excellent workforce, low tax rates, natural resources, elite educational institutions and workforce training programs, and outstanding transportation network - including direct Interstate 57 access, three major rail lines and the Chicago Southland's largest regional airport. Commercial investors are offered a suite of financial incentives.

The Economic Alliance is a primary point of contact for businesses looking to expand within or locate to any of the 20 communities within Kankakee County. Here in the River Valley, investors find advanced manufacturing and service delivery taking place across our urban and rural landscape. Major business sectors include biotechnology, food processing, metal and machine manufacturing, logistics and health care. The Alliance leverages advancements in information technology, providing current property availabilities and market data upon request.

The Economic Alliance holds quarterly meetings of its board of directors on the second Thursdays of the scheduled months at 7:30 a.m. Meetings are primarily held at Olivet Nazarene University's Weber Leadership Center; however, they occasionally are held offsite in conjunction with industry tours. To receive notification of Economic Alliance board meetings, contact Lisa Wogan.
